LA River Field Trip
LA never ceases to surprise. Right there, winding through the ugly sprawl is a fricking river! Full of ducks and pelicans, and herons – yes, I’ve become a bird person in my old age – and also lined with delightful parks and restaurants (Spokes, anyone?!) This weekend FOLAR – the Friends of The LA RIVER – is offering a guided walk along this weirdly beautiful ecosystem.
Studies show that being in nature is good for us. Reduces stress. Improves our mood and sex life, and is a powerful tool for healing. Ok, I may have added the part about sex, but you get the point, and I bet it's true.
I've been talking to my peeps and they are all feeling the intense stress of the world. I bet you and yours are too. An LA RIVER WALK is a fun, family-friendly way to counter that. Orgy to follow. Kidding! It was just a stupid call back... nevermind.
