SHORT: Since 1977, Community Bridge’s family of ten programs delivers essential services, provides equitable access to resources, and advocates for health and dignity across every stage of life to thousands of individuals and families in and around Santa Cruz.
LONG: Since 1977, Community Bridges has served as a vital lifeline for vulnerable community members through ten programs across 20 sites. They provide essential services including transportation, healthy food, healthcare, crisis support, case management, early education, tutoring, and classes in parenting, nutrition, and literacy—most at no cost. Their services empower thousands of local children, families, and seniors facing poverty, food insecurity, displacement, unemployment, and illness. Together with thousands of volunteers and donors like you, Community Bridges can act on their mission of building the world we all want to live in.

Hi there!
We're Cori (they/them) and Gwen (she/her) Wolfland. We live in Santa Cruz, California. Gwen is a pediatrician in town, Cori is a business strategist. We started the HODG Santa Cruz chapter in March 2025 as a countermeasure to the fascist fracturing of our nation. We wanted to do something that would get people together while also doing good: cleaning beaches, writing letters to our reps, supporting people in need, meeting up for protests, etc.
We'd already been doing a few things, like running Pie for the People, but wanted to do more and get people together more often. HODG was already doing exactly what we wanted to – joining forces made sense! We live in Seabright with our two kids (Eloise and Margot), our dog (Huckleberry), and our cat (Karl - though technically he moved to grandma's when the kids arrived but we miss him dearly).
