Welcome Students!

If you’re here, that means you want to do good in your community and we’re already SO proud of you for that! Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about volunteering with HangOutDoGood or starting your own HODG Club.

“You can always, always give something. Even if it is only kindness.”

-Anne Frank

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED…

Please note that HODG is NOT a 501c(3).

We are not an “official” non-profit. We’re just a group of neighbors doing good in our community :)

To receive community service hours for making SUNDAY LUNCHES, The Hollywood Food Coalition (501c3) will approve your hours. HODG will not.

You MUST do the following:

  1. Drop off your lunches in-person at HoFoCo’s Exchange Site: 1223 Vine Street (corner of Vine & La Mirada) on Sunday mornings.

  2. Sometimes, the drop-off location changes. Please check this Instagram post for weekly updates.

  3. Drop-off hours: 10:30am - 12:00pm

  4. Please bring a document with name, date, school and number of lunches made. Andrew Tisher from HoFoCo will approve/sign for you.

  5. You will receive a maximum of 2 hours for each drop off. Must make 10 lunches minimum.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are a variety of ways you can volunteer with HODG, but the most popular is our Sunday Lunches which happens every Sunday, rain or shine. To see the full calendar of events, click the link below:
