HODG Shabbat

Mark your calendars, campers!  HODG Shabbat will be Friday, Nov 14.  It's going to be a POTLUCK and a GRATITUDE Shabbat, which seems right given that it's thanksgiving and all.  As part of that gratitude we are asking 2 things:

a. Bring Feminine Hygiene Supplies (tampons/pads) and new Backpacks.  These are for our young friends at My Friend's Place, which is a refuge in Hollywood for young people experiencing homelessness.  My Friend's place provides support, resources and most of all a loving community for vulnerable teens.  

Note: wonderful Melissa V just texted that there are $5 backpacks at Target right now.  (For those who aren't boycotting Target for its DEI cuts)

b. Let's show gratitude for each other by bringing food to share.  You can make or buy whatever you like.  There is a sign up sheet so we can keep track.   

c. I know, I said 2 things but I just thought of a third!  We always need help setting/cleaning up and helping to host shabbat.  If you are interested and would like to join our HODG Shabbat Team, please let us know by emailing Pegah at hangoutdogood@gmail.com.
