Discussion with Max Huntsman, former Inspector General of LA County
Inspector General?! Jeez, can you get less sexy?
Turns out that's part of the plan. The-powers-that-be give these jobs the most boring titles in the hopes that no one pays attention. Sadly, it's a tactic that always works.
Except here. Because we at HODG are paying attention and we know that Max Huntsman just resigned -- after 12 years -- as our Inspector General in December. Why? Well, here's the letter he wrote explaining: https://www.scribd.com/document/964342925/Inspector-General-Max-Huntsman-s-Retirement-Letter
Not good. Basically, he was appointed in 2013 to oversee the Sheriff's Department and left because every reform he tried to implement was blocked, every finding ignored. Especially by former-Chief-but-still-a-piece-of-shit, Alex Villanueva.
We asked Max Huntsman to join us on zoom because unlike almost everyone else we know, WE ARE CURIOUS. We want to hear what he has to say about the Office of Inspector General (OIG), about the Sheriff's Department, about the County etc.
If you're curious too, and you should be, come join.
