HODG Community Meeting with Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky

I want HODG to have some sort of partnership with our local government.  It doesn't seem like much gets done locally, and maybe more would happen if we really were all in it together.  Helen and I recently met with Katy Y and shared our desire to collaborate on stuff.  For starters we wanted to meet with her more often.  Or if not her, then with her office.  Katy agreed. And so...

... This month is the first of what will hopefully be regular meetings with our councilmember and her peeps.  You're all invited to join.  Whether or not Katy represents you -- she doesn't rep me!! In fact, I'm one of Hugo's constituents.  But I think getting to know these folks, and the hardworking people in their offices might shed light on how we can make our city work better for everyone.   

So please, all of you, come.  It's in person, at Katy's office.  I can't promise she will be there, but I think she will.  There is no "pre-set" agenda, so bring your questions.  Also bring your neighbors. 

Maybe this is how this stuff works.   Katy needs to be a better councilmember.  AND we have to be better constituents!  Maybe this meeting will help us learn how!
